1. In bed cause I'm shockingly tired but find it near impossible to drag myself away from the computer lately. I think I need an intervention

Right, that's it I'm going to bed...well I've got to type a reply on Dee's blog and just make sure nothings happened at EB in the last 15mins and then I'm going to bed.

I'm nearly falling asleep at my desk but...

I just can't go to bed without updating my blog.
Last night I went to a jewellery party at a work mates place and it was such a nice night. She'd made it a coctail party theme and everyone got dressed up all pretty like. Since I havn't really had that much to drink since I was pregnant with Jack I was a bit worried at how I'd handle alcohol and apparently I have a reputation at work as a bit of a flasher when I've had too many but I did really well. I had 5 or 6 coctails PLUS 2 shots and I just have to say the fruit tingles coctail is delish. The only bad bit of the night was that I bit down on a jelly snake and half my tooth fell out (that may be an exageration but I'm still going to have to go to the dentist).
Today I went to another jewellery party at my friends mum's place and the stock was phenomenal. The jewellery last night wasn't really my style but this stuff from Gekho is great and really well prices. I only bought a handbag which was only $19 but I booked the party for just after my birthday so I might have some money to spend then. Here's the bag I bought. Jack fell over on the concrete and goonked his head though. Here's a photo of his googy. Poor bubba.

Don't you just hate it when...

Your cruising along having a nice old day and then something happens that gets you so upset when really in the grand scheme of things it's so insignificant but you just can't let it go. I'm having one of those days.

I love these photos of Jack. I can't beleive that he's changed so much but really changed so little. That little tiny face that I saw all wrapped in blanket when he was born is exactly the face I see today, especially when he drops his lip. I love my boy.

I scrapped!!

I actually finished up a page I started days ago. I couldn't be bothered getting the sewing machine out quite frankly but then I decided to do another LO with stitching to make it worth my while. Not my best work but there you go. The third LO is a digi colour challenge for pickleberrypop website.
I've got the stinky flu at the moment and have had the worst afternoon today. Jack was being an absolute terror. Climbing on the toy box and into everything. It's lucky he's so cute.

• Ooooh too many things to mention really. My own island. Seriously, if I did have ALL the money in the world I would try to help feed, clothe and educate the needy. And for me and my family, my dream house filled with beautiful things and family and laughter, a Chrysler PT Cruiser for me and I'd probably get it painted pretty pink or aqua, one of those ugly Chrysler's with the big grill for Owen and for Jack whatever his little heart desires.

My Weekend...

I've had quite a nice weekend. On Saturday, Jack and I went out. We went to the library and got some magazines and books then across the road to Scrappy Days and picked up some goodies. I got a new range of Crate Paper which I can't wait to use. Then we headed off to the other scrap shop in town but Jack fell asleep in the car on the way over. Luckily they have a lounge so I plonked him down and had a fantastic time browsing through everything. I bought some papers and ribbons and then sat and flicked through some magazines while I waited for Jack to wake up.
Then we headed off to grab some lunch and do some shopping and then back home to unpack the groceries. Picked up Owen from work, got Jack bathed and got our stuff together then headed off to S & K's to babysit. When we got there the kids were already asleep so we watched a bit of croc dundee (woowee) and then the Iron Chef!!! on the projector. I love Iron Chef, those guys are so clever to make things up just on a whim like that. So anyhoo, now Owen of course wants a projector. Our TV's over 12 years old and everyone's green for the first 10 minutes when you turn it on.
Today Mum, Grandma, Jack and I went to the multi-cultural fair at the Uni. It was great to have a look around but I was a little disappointed. I thought they would have had more cultural things to see. I found a great bracelet that Grandma's going to put away for my birthday and a pendant for Mum to give me. There were a lot of different food stalls but we just all got yum cha. This afternoon after Owen got home we went and collected for the Leukemia Foundation just in our street then we decided to take the dogs for a walk. I'll go grab the camera and take a photo of the dogs so you can see what I'm talking about. Poppy (the black and white dog) was fine. She's normally all over the place but she was really well behaved today and just walked beside the pram. Bella on the other hand. Well, she's a fatty and she suffers from arthritis so we hadn't even gotten a block from our place and she needed a rest. We live a block away from a shopping centre which we'd decided to walk around today so Owen went and found a trolley and stuck the bloody dog in it. We would have looked so strange.
Anyhoo, that's my weekend in a nutshell. Pretty boring stuff hey.

My Bitch for Tonight...

I was happily plateing up dinner tonight when the phone rang. O asked if I wanted him to get but I said 'no'. Stupid mistake. Conversation went like this.

Me- "Hello" nice bright happy voice.
Other person- "Nice invitation you did for Jack's birthday. I would have loved to get one and I would have even come. Thanks for nothing"
....................tone.....................

Now this other person I've spoken to maybe four times in the last 3 years and I know she's family but come on. I havn't received invites to her kids birthdays and Jack's birthday was in April and we never heard from her.. Grrrrr, I cried all through dinner.

Hmmm something smells YUMMY!!

Dont' you just hate it when your sitting at home and your peckish and there's nothing really in your house that takes your fancy and you can smell someone else's delicious food. I think someone must have a stew on in the neighbourhood. It smells devine. Might have to see what I can whip up for dinner tonight.

Well, I've decided on a change of video clip even though I just love Evanescence. I've chosen RHCP's Dani California. A fantastic song and such a hilarious video clip. This is one of Jack's favourite dancing songs at the moment.

Out and about!!

I'm sure Jack will be thinking that the Botanical Gardens are our back yard. We've been there so often lately. We went on Sunday, Owen included, which was just fantastic. It's so nice to do things as a family like that. Then on Monday we were there again with our baby group and then today I was meant to meet up with Kerryn and the kids but she thought we were going to the other gardens in town. I eventually tracked her down but by then the kids were all cranky and ready for naps. Jack just loves going there. The play equipment is just his size and there are birds everywhere.
