Happy Birthday to Me!!

It's my birthday today!! I had a bit of a traumatic start to my day but other than that little incident it's been a fantastic day.

Firstly, the incident. I awoke at about 1.30am with a stinking disgusting fly in my ear. And I don't mean just buzzing around my head, I mean seriously stuck in my freakin' ear. Jack was in bed with us so Owen's bedside light was on so I jumped out of bed and rushed around to his side of the bed to try and get the bloody thing to fly out of my ear towards the light. So Owen woke up to find me kneeling beside his side of the bed, slapping the side of my head, squeeling about a fly being stuck in my ear. Luckily it flew out because if it had stayed in there and I had had to go to hospital I probably would have ended up in a straightjacket. It felt just awful and sounded even worse. Yucky yuck yuck!!

Anyhoo, the rest of the day was good. We were running late to get to work today (like normal) and Jack was sleeping soundly so we just woke and dressed him and flew out the door today so I didn't get to open any pressies until tonight. Work got me a big yummy Cherry Ripe cake from the Cheesecake Shop which was fab and Camille had stuck some helium balloons to my desk with 'Happy Birthday Jody' written on them which was lovely. And then tonight, my Mum and my Grandparents came over for a dinner of Malaysian takeaway which was delicious and some yummy chocolate cake, courtesy of my Aunt Marie, for desert.

I got some great gifts too. A gift voucher for a pedicure, buff & polish and 1/2hr facial, a Coles/Meyr gift voucher, a cool seed pod bowl, a big metal dragonfly, some gorgeous jammies, some yummy eats, a picture frame and some photo coasters, a glass hanging, some scrap stickers and a few other things.
