Boxing Day

I woke up this morning to see my gorgeous little man standing beside my bed just grinning at me. He had ended up in our bed last night after a big screaming fit and I really don't know how long he'd been up for but it can't have been long because our house wasn't trashed when we got up. We had pancakes for breaky and then we just played for a while with Jack, got dressed and headed down to the beach.

We called in to see my Dad and his wife at their little property just out of Yeppoon and you should have seen Jack's face when he saw the cows. It was priceless. He even got to feed one very friendly one named Molly and their next door neighbour even had lama's. Very exciting. It's a nice little probperty there actually, they have a nice little watering hole down the back paddock with beautiful waterlillies.

Then we headed over to the beachhouse for a late lunch, an ice cream and a bit of a paddle in the water. We got some fabulous photos, check em out...

Our Christmas!!

Well, our Christmas went well. Busy, noisy, messy but great. I had some fantastic help from some family memebers to help get everything ready. My aunt Marie came over to tidy up and mopped my floors and helped out so much. Her hubby uncle Robbie came and helped with the undercoat in the theatre room. My aunt Fay came over and weeded our yard and my Mum came and kept Jack occupied for hours and bathed him for us. I was so grateful for their help as Owen had woken up with a ripper of a migraine so I had to do the last of the plastering, sanding and door edges and skirting myself. Arrrrrrrrggggghhhhh!! All's well that ends well though and the room was at least undercoated. Owen is nearly wetting his pants in anticipation of getting the screen up but the top coats have to be done first. So Owen & I got to bed at about 2am.

CHRISTMAS DAY
I woke up at six and just couldn't get back to sleep but I stayed in bed until seven. Did a few last minute things, washed my hair/cleaned the shower etc. then Jack woke up at about eight. We hadn't wrapped his tricycle due to the awkwardness of it but you should have seen his bleary little eyes light up when he saw it. "Motorbike!!" He loved it so much he didn't want to open anything else. Grandma Hamo came over at about nine and then everyone else started arriving. Lunch went well but there were heaps of leftovers as per normal. Jack had a fabulous time playing with his 2nd cousin Patrick but wasn't very interested in opening his pressies. It was a very full house for a while there. Everyone was gone by about four and then Owen and I settled in for a quiet night at home. Jack hadn't had a nap all day so he fell asleep watching Wiggles within about five minutes. Poor little fella. Anyhoo, a great time was had by all. I got some great photos which I can't wait to scrap. It was so nice to see everyone it's just a shame I couldn't have spent a bit more time chatting.

the rest of the photos...

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!

Every morning I turn the computer on and up pops messenger with Brazen's Christmas countdown and the panic sets in. Sooooooo much to do so little time. So what are you doing blogging I hear you say. Well I hate going to blogs and there's no updates but since I don't have time I'll just load up some photos instead. So here they are: the Christmas to do list on the fridge (note only one thing is crossed off so far), the new photo wall (photos were moved to accomodate new mirror), DH & Jack in their building gear, the new mirror (photo taken very side on to hide my very messy lounge room), the very unfinished looking media room which is meant to host the gift giving on Christmas day (aaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh), my gorgeous boy with his new haircut, the new twin recliner which is currently jammed in our lounge room (the cats are happy though obviously) waiting for the room to be finished.

Oh What a Night!!

I just broke down (insert very sad & scared smiley here). Owen's Dad is in Tasmania at the moment and we're going over to feed his dogs and tonight it's been a bit rainy and pretty blowy so I procrastinated about it for a while and then decided that I'd better go and lock them inside the house in case we got a downpour since there's not much hidey space for them. Now, if you knew me you'd probably be aware that I'm afraid of the dark, some times quite more than others. Owen's Dad's house is a 2 story and quite frankly the thought of traipsing around there, fumbling for light switches scared the absolute bejesus out of me but I know I wouldn't have been able to sleep if I didn't go. So of I trot and I was very very very brave. I even ventured into the unlit backyard with my pissy excuse for a torch to scout around for a food bowl. Then I backed out of the house, quickly, locked it all up, got in my car, quickly locked the doors whilst simultaneously checking the backseat for men with knives and then NOTHING!!! A flat battery!!! Aaaaaaaarrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!! Of course I had my trusty mobile phone so I rang Owen on the verge of hysteria and he phoned our friend Ben (my knight in a blue Mercedes) and he came and jump started the car. I was in tears by the time I got home, up until then I had been pretty brave (didn't want Bed to see my freak out). It sucked!!!!! It was my fault, well our battery must be a bit dodgy as well I guess, but I had left the lights on high beam when I went into the house so I could see the locks at the front door. Anyhoo, it sucked, big time, freaked me out and now I feel all jumpy and scared.
On a brighter note, I hosted my sex toy party tonight. That was fun. It's one of the girl from works birthday today so it was sort of a two in one. It ended early but I think everyone enjoyed themselves.
I might even try to get some scrapping done tomorrow, or maybe get my Christmas cards done. I bought the New Idea a few weeks ago because it had a voucher to get 30 free photos from Harvey Norman and do you think I can find the damm thing. I'm sure it's around here somewhere but my house is a shambles. I can't wait until the media room and laundry/scrap room are finished so I can get some stuff sorted.
We're going to Amber's first Birthday party tomorrow which should be good. Jack will really enjoy running around with Sam and the kids from next door. Plus they have a trampoline which I'm sure he'll love as well.
